WE ARE OZONE, THE COMPETITIVE TEAM COMBINING ALL 4 OLENTANGY HIGH SCHOOLS.
OZONE Robotics has a mission to provide students in Olentangy Schools an educational opportunity in which they learn to use state of the art programming, building, electronics, and design technology under the supervision of multiple highly talented mentors and apply skills learnt in a team environment through preparation for competitive robotics competitions under any combination of the following specialties in order to benefit the team: Build, design, code, drive, electrical, and business.
The namesake for OZONE is derived from Olentangy High School, Orange High School, and Liberty High school; the original 3 Olentangy schools that existed at the creation of the team. After Berlin High School was built in 2018, the OZONE name stuck.
The ozone molecule for which the team is named consists of 3 oxygen molecules– or 3 “o’s,” or gears–as the team that originally unified Olentangy Schools.
It features the double-bond and single bond present in the VSEPR model for ozone, including the 116.8 degree angle.
